In 1972, Brother Bobby Roberson’s burden to help young people find direction in life became a reality. Just one year later, Gospel Light Baptist Church purchased Camp Virginian—139 ½ acres tucked away in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains outside Hillsville, VA. From that moment on, God has used this place to shape lives, strengthen families, and set young people on a path toward Christ.

Gospel Light Christian Camp was founded to assist churches in evangelism and discipleship by giving juniors and teens a dedicated environment to grow in the Lord—grounded in sound doctrine and surrounded by godly influence.

Today, that mission is still alive and thriving. GLCC remains a place where the next generation can find direction, experience revival, and build a lasting foundation for their faith.
