We have purchased
the old Faith Baptist Church on Waughtown Street in the "Five Points"
area of Winston-Salem. It is a large building in the heart of
the Hispanic community. While we currently hold our Spanish
services in several buildings on our Walkertown property, we will
be moving our Spanish ministry to this new location after remodeling
is finished.
A fellowship hall is being renovated with
new lights and sheetrock. The rear section of this building
also contains some rooms suitable for offices and classes. There
are two beautiful restrooms there as well. And, yes, that is
an old riding mower sitting in the middle of the floor!
The main building features a large auditorium, classrooms,
nurseries, restrooms, and a newly-constructed bookstore. New
lighting and updated air-conditioning are being added to handle the
large congregation. Work is progressing nicely, and an Open
House will be planned soon!
Until then, we continue to hold services at our current location on
our main church property in Walkertown. We invite all Spanish-speaking
people to visit our services. Attendance each Sunday averages
