Our Pastors

Brother Bobby Roberson has been our Pastor for over 54 years. During this time he has not wavered in his convictions and still majors on old-fashioned preaching. He uses only the King James Version of the Bible. We invite you to come hear a man whose faithfulness has been blessed of God.

In the Spring of 2006, Brother Bobby underwent extensive surgery for stomach cancer. God has chosen to give him a full recovery. He preaches with renewed enthusiasm and passion. Compassion has always been our Pastor's strength, but now it has been deepened by this experience.
We give God the glory for sparing our Pastor's life.

Bro. Frank Shumate - Assistant Pastor

Brother Frank Shumate has been Assistant Pastor at Gospel Light for 24 years. He has taught Junior Church for over 30 years. He currently averages 100 per Sunday. He also teaches a Sunday School class averaging over 160 people each Sunday. Bro. Frank oversees church visitations, bus ministry promotions, and tract printing.

Bro. Tim Hicks - Youth Pastor

Brother Tim Hicks has been in the ministry at Gospel Light for 31 years. He teaches in our Christian school and directs our summer camp. Bro. Tim has been Choir Leader for 16 years and Youth Pastor since 2001. Teen Church averages around 400 per Sunday.

Bro. Jeff Johnson - Spanish Pastor

Brother Jeff Johnson started at Gospel LIght as a Spanish teacher in our Christian school in 1990. He is now the Spanish Church Pastor at Gospel LIght. Spanish Church attendance averages 700 per Sunday. Bro. Jeff also is the director of our Reformers' Unanimous program.
